To move BLMs around:
  • cd /nfs/cbeta/hw/epics/ioc/BLM_CsI/iocBoot/iocBLM_CsI
    • edit the *.cmd files
    • Change the target, channel, and device id to agree with reality
    • Do not change anything else in this folder
  • Update the markers file (extra_markers_1pass.bmad or extra_markers_4pass.bmad in /home/erpopr/online/machine/CBETA/lattice/model/) and restart the lattice IOC (python IOC, warn people, as this IOC does several things)
  • Update Matlab get_name_from_area function
  • If you've changed the names, update get_all_csi_monitors.m (EPS/BLM_CsI in the matlab directory)
BLM IOC things
  • cd /home/epicsioc/EPS
  • To join: ./joinIOCBLM_CsI #
  • To (re)start: ./restartIOCBLM_CsI #
  • password is root
  • To reboot:
    • ssh root@erpzed#
    • Type 'halt'
    • Must power cycle unit before restarting IOC
  • To restart IOC without rebooting
    • Join it
    • Type 'exit'
    • Restart IOC
