LEPP Computer Accounts
Effective immediately, anyone who needs an account at LEPP must have a Cornell NetID, and
the LEPP account name for that person will have the same spelling as the corresponding NetID.
This includes REU participants and undergraduates of other institutions working for LEPP collaborators.
In the not too distant future, LEPP computers may actually use Cornell's central NetID authentication.
Any non-Cornellian who needs a NetID can get a Sponsored NetID. The procedure for obtaining a sponsored NetID is provided at
http://www.cit.cornell.edu/identity/netid.html#who It includes filling out the NetID request form, a photocopy of identification, and a letter from LEPP.
Depending on the circumstances, those with a PhD may be able to get an appointment as a Visiting Fellow, which includes getting a NetID.
Please contact Monica Wesley immediately if you or someone working for you will be needing a NetID. The procedure takes several days.
