New CLASSE website (beta)
The beta release of the new CLASSE website is now available at
https://wwwdev.classe.cornell.edu. CLASSE credentials are required to access this site. We plan to release the site publicly on May 19, replacing the current
http://www.classe.cornell.edu. Please send any comments to
werner.sun@cornell.edu.
A few notes:
- Firefox users may find an empty Events feed on the homepage. To fix this, click on the shield icon to the left of your address bar and select "Disable Protection on This Page" from the dropdown menu. This step will not be necessary when the site goes public.
- The fonts are not always correctly displayed on the beta site. Again, this will not be an issue when the site goes public.
- This new site is also meant to replace the LEPP site (http://www.lepp.cornell.edu), but we have not yet finalized a transition plan. In particular, some content from the LEPP site has not yet been migrated to the new CLASSE site.
TeX/LaTex Update
General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our
NewsLetter and via
CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
Unless other arrangements have been made,
CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see
SystemExpectations.
