PC50 is READ ONLY today

As warned in our previous newsletter, PC50 has been set to READ ONLY today. If you find you cannot write to your Z drive, it is because your files HAVE NOT been migrated to SAMBA. Please submit a service request so we can do the migration for you.

NOTE: this will affect LNSNTCAD users with Roaming Profiles. Your profiles will become read only and cannot be updated. The vast majority of LNSNTCAD computers no longer use Roaming Profiles and will not be affected. If your changes to the desktop are not "sticking" it is because your computer is in a VERY old configuration. Please submit a service request so we can change your Roaming Profile to a Local Profile.

LEPP Inventor Suite will be Upgraded to 2013 Tuesday afternoon

Per our previous newsletters and notices to Inventor users, the Inventor Suite on LEPP managed PCs will be upgraded beginning 2PM on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012. The upgrade should complete by Wednesday morning. We will be verifying the success of the upgrades and working on correcting problems starting Wednesday morning at 8AM. Hopefully Inventor software and the Vault will be available again at Noon on Wednesday, September 12th, 2012.

General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.

Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see SystemExpectations.
