Newman Power Outage:

Preparations for the Milstein Project construction will cause a loss of power at Newman Lab on Saturday, June 27, 2009, from 6AM until 6PM.

Recommendations:

  • Newman residents should end all of their editing sessions and logout before going home on Friday.

  • Power down desktop computers by selecting the "Shutdown" option.

  • There is no need to turn off any other computers. The LEPP computer group will be shutting computers down appropriately.

  • People with laptops who will be on campus on Saturday and who need network access should visit Wilson Lab or use Cornell's Red Rover service. See http://www.cit.cornell.edu/redrover/

  • After power has been restored and computers have been turned on, please check to make sure their fans are working properly.

  • If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact any member of the LEPP computer group or send e'mail to service-lepp@cornell.edu
