Required Information Table

The following information is required for the entries. Please ensure you enter this information when adding a new system. Please update any information fields that are not populated on existing object entries.

Comments/Notes

Always Required

• If you enter comments or notes, it is important to "sign" those entries. The format to be used is:
  Comment, data, and information.(username).
• Example:
  I have entered a comment on this object.(jmp242)

Monitors

Always Required

• Name (Actually the Model#)
• Location
• Manufacturer (Please correct any "Unknown Manufacturer Type" entries)
• Status
• Type
• Serial #
• Size
• Appropriate Flags (Sub-D almost always, DVI if present, etc)

Required in specific instances

• Group (If owned by another university. Otherwise blank)
• Inventory Number (Capital Tag if Present)

Computers

Always Required

• Type
• Model
• Location
• Manufacturer
• Serial #
• Status

Required in specific instances

• Name (If deployed/named)
• Contact (sould be the primary user or the person who is primarily in charge of a multi use workstation. OCSNG will prepopulate this with the username of whoever was logged in when the initial GLPI import occured)

Software

Always Required

• Name
• Platform (Generally multiple entries would be required for multiplatform software as it is licensed per platform)
• Manufacturer
• Location (What room the media is generally stored in
• Comment (Entry for CD #)
• License Information (See Adding Software to GLPI)

Sometimes Required

• Linked Contract for maintenence agreement, or renewal timeframe.

Contracts

Always Required

• Name
• Contract Type
• Begin Date
• Duration
• Contract Period
• Notice
• Renewal
• Invoice Period
• Software or hardware link

Sometimes Required

• Cost (if not free with purchase of software)
• Max number of items (if not site)
• Account Number
• Email Alarms (default should be used most of the time)
