Standard Installed Software for deployments after 4/05/2022.

The standard software installed on a Windows computer is also called the Base Image. Every CLASSE Managed Windows computer have these software products installed.

Windows 10 (21H2 LTSC)

Windows 10 is the default desktop Windows operating system. It forms the core of the Base Image and these standard programs are available.

Office Software

PDF Management

• PDF-X-Change Pro v9

XWindows Software

This software is used to forward X sessions from Linux systems so you can work on them from your Windows computer.

• CLASSE GRID - provides access to X2Go and VcXsrv (called XMing for naming consistency) on our compute farm.
• VcXsrv - standard X Windows software.

SSH

SSH is used to get a shell or command line logon on a remote Linux computer.

• Putty

File Transfer Software

SCP and SFTP are the recommended method to move files when browsing to a network share is impractical.

• WinSCP provides FTP, SCP and SFTP services.

Media/Image Viewing

• VLC - Media Player supports most video and audio file formats.
• nomacs - Image Previewer and basic editor (New March 2018)

File Compression Software

• 7zip - currently provides right click zip / unzip of compressed files.

Screen Capture Software

• ShareX - powerful screen capture software to capture active window, crop screen-shot, after screen capture basic edits (to add arrows, boxes, text) and save as image. Supports automatic upload to various sharing sites such as imgr and pastebin.

Utilities

• Antivirus (ESET Endpoint Security)
• Identity Finder - used to scan for Confidential Information.
• CCleaner - used to clean up temporary files.
• TortoiseSVN - used to interact with our source control servers.
