LEPP TWiki server upgrade and reorganization

On Wednesday May 31, at 16:00 EDT, wiki.lepp.cornell.edu was be unavailable for two hours. This is required for a server upgrade (hardware and software).

As part of this upgrade, wiki.lepp.cornell.edu was reorganized in an effort to centralize authentication and minimize administrative overhead.

For URLs that change, appropriate redirects have been created. Anyone trying to access any wiki at its old URL will be redirected to the new correct location.

LEPP Internal Wikis

https://wiki.lepp.cornell.edu/lepp/ is becoming a central LEPP wiki resource. As such, it will be restricted using the same username and password you use to check your LEPP email or access restricted web pages. Users of the ERL, CESR, CMS, and Computing wikis will start authenticating using their LEPP network principals instead of their Wiki username and password. If you are unfamiliar with your network principal, please see UserAccountsAndPasswords.

Aside from authenticating using your LEPP network principals, this reorganization resulted in the following changes:

• The URLs for the current ERL wiki will become:
  • https://wiki.lepp.cornell.edu/lepp/bin/view/ERL/Private/
  • https://wiki.lepp.cornell.edu/lepp/bin/view/ERL/Private/Controls/
• The URL for the CMS at LEPP wiki will become:
  • https://wiki.lepp.cornell.edu/lepp/bin/view/CMS/
• The URLs for the CESR wiki will become:
  • https://wiki.lepp.cornell.edu/lepp/bin/view/CESR/
  • https://wiki.lepp.cornell.edu/lepp/bin/view/CESR/ACL/
  • https://wiki.lepp.cornell.edu/lepp/bin/view/CESR/Bunch/
• The URL for LEPP Computing will become:
  • https://wiki.lepp.cornell.edu/lepp/bin/view/Computing/

Outside LEPP

ILC

The World Wide Study R&D wiki will merge into the ILC wiki at LEPP. As a result, the URL of the WWS wiki will become: https://wiki.lepp.cornell.edu/ilc/Public/WWS/

LEPP HEP Software Infrastructure Group

The Cleo Software Infrastructure Group wiki will become the LEPP HEP Software Infrastructure Group wiki. As a result, the URL of this wiki will become: https://wiki.lepp.cornell.edu/hepswig/
