Follow the instructions for connecting to Linux from Windows with XMing / PuTTY.
Run the Linux program vncserver as described by the Remote Linux instructions here. Remember to NOTE THE SCREEN NUMBER shown by vncserver.
To provide access from a personally owned computer, we suggest installing TigerVNC's vncviewer as it is cross platform. Alternatively, for Windows, you can run the vncviewer program available here: vncviewer.exe. It does not need any installation, you just run it.
