AppsAnywhere Outage: TODAY, 13-Jan-2020 @ 2:00 PM
With apologies for the short notice, TODAY, 13-Jan-2020, starting at 2:00 PM, there will be an outage of the
AppsAnywhere service while it is being upgraded. This work should be completed today by 6:00 PM. During this upgrade, AppsAnywhere will not be available for launching new programs, or validating existing ones. We will announce the start and stop of work on the
CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L mailing list. Please submit a
ServiceRequest with any questions or concerns.
New Linux Kernels and NVIDIA drivers, Reboot Your Computer: Tuesday, 14-Jan-2020 @ 12:00 Noon
On Tuesday, 14-Jan-2019, the latest Scientific Linux 7 (SL7) kernels and nvidia drivers will be pushed to all CLASSE SL7 boxes. Please reboot your computer after 12:00 noon on Tuesday for the updated kernel and drivers to take effect.
LNX201 Reboot: Tuesday, 14-Jan-2020 @ 12:00 Noon
Following the SL7 kernel update mentioned above, the CLASSE general-purpose Linux login node, lnx201, will be rebooted on Tuesday, 14-Jan-2020 at 12 noon. Please save your work and logout from lnx201 before 12:00 noon.
Autodesk 2020 Upgrade: Monday, 27-Jan-2020 @ 3:00 PM
On Monday, 27-Jan-2020, at 3:00 PM, we will begin migrating Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault) to the Autodesk 2020 Design Suite. In
Timesheet App, we have temporarily disabled the editing of comments in the Timesheet Summary table. Please enter your comments directly in the time entry itself:
- Hit the Enter key in the cell where you enter hours.
- Add/edit your comments in the comment box that appears.
- Hit the Enter key again. The comment box will disappear, and the comment will appear in the Timesheet Summary table.
General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our
NewsLetter and via
CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
Unless other arrangements have been made,
CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see
